  • Equinox® Advantage

    Adjustable Analgesic Gas Delivery System

The O-Two Equinox® Advantage Oxygen/Nitrous Oxide Mixing and Delivery System allows you to control the mix of gas and oxygen a patient is receiving in order to provide the appropriate dose for the patient and the procedure. Designed for use everywhere from the pre-hospital (ambulance), in-hospital (ER, Labor and Delivery etc.) and Dental  (Surgical Procedures), the portable Equinox® Advantage system is easy to use, and eliminates the risk of delivering a hypoxic mixture.

The O-Two Equinox® Advantage  consists of a dual gas (Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide) control module mixing system that maintains the output gas mixture at a constant ratio, over 8 settings, from 25% to 100% oxygen. Each of the two inputs have gas specific built-in alarm systems that generate both visual and audible alarms should either the nitrous oxide or oxygen input fall below 40 PSI. There is also a built-in oxygen fail-safe that will provide 100% oxygen should the nitrous oxide input fall below 35 PSI.

The system has one Rotary Control Knob for turning the unit to the ON or OFF position and one Rotary Control knob for the selection of the Oxygen/Nitrous Oxide mixture. When the unit is turned ON, the output of the O2/N2O gas mixture will only be activated by an inspiratory effort by the patient. The internal demand valve delivers high flow rates with low triggering pressures, reducing the amount of effort required by the patient to maintain the demanded flow. The exhaled gas scavenging port allows the attachment of a scavenging hose to help scavenge exhaled gas away from the patient environment.

The Oxygen Enrichment feature on the O-Two Equinox® Advantage allows the Operator to provide up to 20 L/min of 100% Oxygen through  the Patient Circuit by depressing the O2 Enrichment Button.

Virtually maintenance free, the durable O-Two Equinox® Advantage Analgesic Gas Mixing and Delivery System is a reliable, easy-to-use, safe and efficient way of delivering a range of gas
mixtures for trauma, childbirth or other painful procedures.

The O-Two™ eAdvantage® technology is unprecedented. Its capacity for delivering the exact amount of gas necessary for the patient with neither waste nor environmental hazards cannot be found in any other analgesia device available in the market.

The demand of gas flow is regulated by the spontaneous breath of the patient, consequently, preventing gas waste. Moreover this feature dismisses the constant attention from the healthcare providers. making them free to focus on all the other needs the patient might require.

Designed for in-hospital use (ER, Labor and Delivery, Clinics etc.), the new eAdvantage® provides a variable mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, on demand, to a conscious, spontaneously breathing patient for the relief of pain due to childbirth, trauma or other conditions where inhalation analgesia is clinically specified. It only requires the attachment to pressure regulated medical oxygen and nitrous oxide gas supplies (wall outlet or cylinders), electrical supply or battery, and the attachment of a patient circuit with mouthpiece or facemask and scavenging hose to be ready for use.

Simple controls and abundant safety features make this the ideal device for the accurate delivery of titratable analgesia during labor, trauma, or painful procedures.

  • Equinox® Relieve

    Analgesic Gas Delivery System

Designed for use in the pre-hospital (ambulance) and in-hospital use (ER, Labor and Delivery etc.), the O-Two Equinox® Relieve is intended to provide a 50/50% mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen, on demand, to a conscious, spontaneously breathing, patient for the relief of pain due to trauma or other conditions where inhalation analgesia is clinically specified. The system has no operator or patient adjustable controls eliminating the risk of delivering a hypoxic mixture. It only requires the attachment to pressure regulated medical gas oxygen and nitrous oxide cylinders and the patient circuit with mouth piece and scavenging hose to be ready for use.

The O-Two Equinox® Relieve consists of a dual gas (Oxygen and Nitrous Oxide) control module mixing system that maintains the output gas mixture at a constant 50/50 mix. Each of the two inputs have gas specific built-in alarm systems will generate both visual and audible alarms should either the nitrous oxide or oxygen input fall below 40 PSI, and the device will be automatically shut off should either the nitrous oxide or oxygen input fall below 35 PSI.

The O-Two Equinox® Relieve is also equipped with a secondary “fail safe” circuit that will activate an alarm and shut off the device should internal malfunction occur in the mixer or any internal hoses rupture or kink.

O-Two Equinox® Relieve N2O/O2 Analgesic Gas Mixing and Delivery System has only one control for turning ON or OFF the device. When it is turned ON, the output of the N2O/O2 gas mixture will only be activated by an inspiratory effort by the patient. The internal demand valve delivers high flow rates with low triggering pressures, reducing the amount of effort required by the patient to maintain the demanded flow. during use, the scavenging hose on the circuit assists in scavenging the patient's exhaled air away from the patient environment.

Virtually maintenance free, the durable O-Two Equinox® Relieve N2O/O2 Analgesic Gas Mixing and Delivery System is a simple, safe and efficient way of delivering pain relief during trauma, childbirth or other painful procedures.

The optional Oxygen Enrichment feature allows the rescuer flush the system by depressing the manual button.

  • Equinox® II

    Analgesia Administration System

The Equinox® II Administration System is simple, safe, efficient way of delivering pain relief during trauma, childbirth or painful procedures!

The Equinox® II Administration System is a rugged demand inhalation unit for the administration of 50% N2O/50% O2 analgesic gas mixture (Entonox®, ALnox® etc.) and was specifically designed for use in emergency and obstetric analgesia.

The system consists of a single stage pressure reducing regulator, a reinforced supply hose, a demand valve and a Universal patient oro-nasal mask. The Equinox® II Demand Valve delivers high flow rates with low triggering pressures, reducing the amount of effort required by the patient, to maintain the demanded flow.

The lightweight,  demand valve incorporates a 360° Patient Valve Swivel Housing that is easily disassembled for cleaning. A Bleed Pin is included with the demand valve to effectively bleed the system of residual gas after use.

Virtually maintenance free, the durable the Equinox® II Administration System is a simple, safe and efficient way of delivering pain relief during trauma, childbirth or painful procedures.

    Use of filters:

The use of a Breathing System Filter or BSF (commonly available in all hospitals) placed between the facemask or bite block, and the Equinox® II Demand Valve, removes the need to disassemble and disinfect the patient valve and diaphragm. Any pathogens present in the expired air are removed by the filter eliminating the risk of cross infection.

After each patient use, the Universal Facemask should be disinfected. A disposable facemask or bite block should be discarded. The outside of the demand valve body, gas supply tubing and patient valve can simply be wiped over with a hard surface disinfect in line with standard department protocols. Not only does the use of a BSF significantly reduce the downtime of the device between patients, it also limits the need for replacement parts (diaphragm and Patient Valve Housing) for the device.

The use of standard respiratory disposables also removes the need to stock proprietary items which have only one use.

NOTE: Only filters complying with ISO 23328 should be used.
