Bacterial Viral HME Filters

Advanced Filtration, Humidification, and Patient Protection

The O-Two Bacterial/Viral HME Filter is designed to provide effective humidification while helping reduce the risk of microbial contamination between the patient, healthcare professionals, and respiratory equipment. By retaining heat and moisture from exhaled gas and returning it during inhalation, the filter helps support airway humidification for intubated and mechanically ventilated patients.

Bacterial/Viral HME Filters

The O-Two Bacterial/Viral HME filters, also known as Heat and Moisture Exchanger filters, help reduce exposure to dry, cold inspired gas by retaining heat and moisture during exhalation and returning it during inhalation. They also help reduce the risk of microbial contamination between the patient, healthcare professionals, and respiratory equipment during respiratory treatment and ventilation.

• High Efficiency Filtration: Utilizes permanently bipolar-loaded electrostatic fibers to achieve bacterial filtration efficiency of 99.9999% and viral filtration efficiency of 99.999%, helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

• Efective Humidification: Paper or sponge HME elements provide a high moisture output exceeding 35mgH₂O/L at a 500ml tidal volume.Validated.

• Regulatory and Performance Validation:
Our bacterial/viral filters have undergone the most rigorous testing and have exceeded the highest quality standards, delivering proven performance and reliability for critical respiratory care applications.

• Advanced Design:
Features an adhesive-free, ultrasonically welded transparent housing that allows continuous visual inspection. The filter is available with a luer-cap CO₂ sampling port to support uninterrupted CO₂ sampling and monitoring.

• Optimized Performance:
Available in a lightweight configuration of approximately 9g with a dead space of approximately 10mL, supporting low-resistance breathing-circuit performance.

Bacterial/Viral Filters

O-Two Bacterial/Viral Filters are electrostatic breathing-circuit filters designed to help reduce the risk of microbial contamination among patients, healthcare professionals, and respiratory equipment during respiratory treatment and ventilation.

• High Efficiency Filtration: Uses permanently bipolar-charged electrostatic fibres to achieve bacterial filtration efficiency of 99.9999% and viral filtration efficiency of 99.999%, helping reduce the risk of cross-contamination.

• Monitoring & Design: Monitoring & Design: Featurs a luer-cap CO₂ sampling port to support CO₂ sampling and monitoring. The transparent polypropylene or SBC housing is ultrasonically welded without adhesives, allowing continuous visual inspection.

• Lightweight, Low-Dead-Space Design: Helping maintain efficient airflow.

Sterile Production:  Manufactured in controlled clean-room conditions to support product quality and consistency. sampling and monitoring.

• Validated Performance: Filtration performance has been validated by independent international laboratories.
